Quantum Gases 2018: Novel Correlation Effects
Organizers:
Hui Zhai and Tin-Lun (Jason) Ho
Organized by:
Institute for Advanced Study, Tsinghua University
August 22 - 24, 2018
This conference will focus on novel correlation effects in degenerate quantum gases. These effects include novel quantum many-body correlation effects:
- found in new systems, such as quantum droplet and new mixtures
- discovered with dynamical controls, such as time-periodic interactions
- revealed by new experimental tools, such as microscope and precision measurement
Invited Speakers:
- Antonio Rubio Abadl (Munich)
- Waseem Bakr (Princeton)
- Lawrence Cheuk (Harvard)
- Cheng Chin (Chicago)
- Christie Chiu (Harvard)
- Eugene Demler (Harvrad)
- Kuiyi Gao (Bonn)
- Aki Goban (JILA)
- Zoran Hadzibabic (Cambridge)
- Selim Jochim (Heidelberg)
- Christophe Salomon (ENS)
- Ulrich Schneider (Cambridge)
- Luca Tanzi (LENS/ICFO)
- Joseph Thywissen (Toronto)
- Matthias Wenzel (Stuttgart)

This conference is a series of biannual conferences on ultracold atomic gases held at Tsinghua University since 2010, interrupted by the pandemic in 2020 and 2022. The information on the previous conferences is listed below.
